Vignesh’s journey with Oakwood started in 2012, where he first held the role of Director of Sales & Marketing for two Oakwood properties in Bangalore and was instrumental in the opening of Oakwood Residence Prestige Whitefield, Bangalore. After helping another brand set up their property in Bangalore, Vignesh returned to Oakwood in 2015 as General Manager for another two Oakwood properties in Bangkok where he was awarded Thailand’s Best General Manager by CMO Asia in 2018 and 2019.
A native of India, Vignesh holds a Masters in Business Administration from the ICFAI Business School, Hyderabad and a Bachelors in Hotel Administration from Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration, Manipal, India. Vignesh is fluent in English, Tamil and Hindi, and conversant in Thai. In his free time, Vignesh looks forward to playing golf, whiskey tasting as well as spending time with his wife Aarti, 8-year-old son Nirbhay and their Beagle dog Mishka.
On his appointment, Vignesh commented, “Vietnam is an amazing country.
