Growing up in a bustling family business in Ipoh, Malaysia, Angeline Lo honed a strong work ethic and go-getter spirit from an early age. Throughout her entrepreneurial adventures, she has garnered numerous accolades from local colleges and international universities, further strengthening her penchant for brand building and creative marketing. This is a combination from her hands-on experience in her family’s business and her formal education which laid a solid foundation for her business ventures.
Amidst her studies, Angeline co-founded her first start-up, transforming it from a basic photo booth rental service into a dynamic interactive gamification company. Her go-getter mindset kept her on her toes as she then pivoted into baking, founding an online pastry shop that introduced tower-shaped madeleines, a first-of-its-kind concept in Malaysia at the time. The shop's social media presence grew significantly, experiencing a follower increase of 13,000%.
Later, she took up freelance consulting and established a new digital agency under the Berjaya Group before fully committing to founding and expanding Tinker Society in 2018.
This venture has proven to be one of her greatest adventures, combining her expertise in brand building and creative marketing.
As the Founder and Social Tinkerbell of her boutique social media agency, Angeline’s leadership style is both personable and empowering, giving her team the freedom to grow and explore all possibilities. Her recipe to success to all new brand builders under her leadership is to never stop learning, push boundaries, and to innovate. Angeline believes that ‘when you keep exploring, you will keep growing to become the best version of yourself!’. Tinker Society is by far Angeline’s proudest achievement and she hopes to continue to sprinkle creative dust across Malaysia and other parts of SouthEast Asia, one day.
