Stuart Harris is the co-founder and managing director of Team Building Asia and Growth Academy Asia. Arriving in Hong Kong in 1996, Stuart initially built up his strong business acumen in the hospitality industry, managing three of Hong Kong’s top restaurants. Stuart, originally from the UK, studied hospitality management and then worked in the management teams of two of the UK hotels, most memorable was the Ryder Cup at the Belfry Hotel.
This solid hospitality experience led him to the co-founding of Team Building Asia in 2002. Stuart’s wide range of connections and growth mindset enabled him to integrate innovative activities into the more traditional elements of team exercises, taking the company to a pioneering status in the region. Having identified HR learning challenges beyond team building, Stuart co-founded Growth Academy Asia in 2020, providing HR with virtual reality solutions to optimise corporate learning.
His flair for management coupled with his personable characteristics has proven a perfect balance for the event management business. Stuart is an innovative thinker who has built Team Building Asia into the most prestigious and effective team building company in the region. He aspires to achieve the same with his newest venture, Growth Academy Asia.
