Tmob CEO Tunc Akyurt has 25+ years of strong experience at B2C and B2B business model execution and management consulting industry. Besides working at Capital One Bank in the USA for about 5 years, he used to work at QNB Finansbank and Akbank, 2 of the top 5 largest private retail banks in Turkey. At QNB Finansbank as the Group Head, he used to lead the whole retail banking and payment systems business lines and international business development efforts. At Akbank, he used to be the Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer directly reporting to the CEO and the Board as an internal executive advisor. As the EVP of the bank, he was also in charge of CRM and New Products/Channels Development leading Akbank’s digital transformation efforts.
At management consulting, he used to work at McKinsey & Company serving international firms across financial services, telecom, and retail industries in Istanbul Office. Later in his career, Akyurt joined Peppers & Rogers Consulting Group as the Managing Partner across Europe, Middle East, and Africa in charge of customer experience, advanced analytics, and digital transformation projects. He also used to be the managing partner of N2Growth, an American consulting firm focusing on leadership development, cultural transformation and strategy consulting serving majority of Fortune 500 companies.
Akyurt has been the Group CEO of a global financial services & fintech group serving its customers around digital banking, consumer finance and investment brokerage services across 18 countries in Asia, Middle East and Europe. Since the beginning of 2021, Tunc Akyurt joined Tmob as the Executive Board Member in charge global business development and growth efforts. Effective Dec 2021, he’s been assigned as the CEO of Tmob.
