Dr Kenneth Yu is an engineer by training, graduating with a doctorate in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Dr Ken has a phenomenally successful managerial and executive career spanning more than 30 years in the semiconductor industry, leading the development of great products at Intel Corp and Lattice Semiconductor. These products spanned numerous technology generations, from 3micron (3000 nanometers) to the present nanometric generations. In the 1980s, Dr Ken co-founded Ateq/Etec Corp. with two colleagues, and said company revolutionized Laser Mask Manufacturing. Dr Ken’s present technology interest is in the domain of Data/Network/IoT security. Two USA patents were granted to Dr Ken in 2019, describing a novel approach to distributed IoT system security. Simultaneously, a file security product VDF (Virtual Data Firewall) was shipped to an Indonesian listco partner for marketing and distribution in the Asean countries. Dr Ken serves on several boards, including two listed companies in Singapore, and an electrical car battery JV in Hong Kong. He also advises and directs the business development of a software engineering firm.
