Elton Cheung is currently a partner with VMS Group, a multi-strategy asset management firm based in Greater China. VMS and its strategic partnership managers have in aggregate over USD10billion asset under management in PE, VC and hedge fund strategies. In addition to the continuing development of its flagship PE funds, VMS’s main business focus includes building a multi-manager, multi-strategy investment platform in the Asia region. Elton is in charge of spearheading this, among his other responsibilities.
Elton has been in financing and investing for over 25 years, holding C-level roles since 2010, with a focus on corporate strategy, platform development, and senior stakeholder management. He has been on boards and sub-committees of various regulated operating entities, as well as investment committees of multiple investment funds.
Prior to joining VMS, Elton has been the CEO and Managing Partner of a infrastructure investment fund, and before that has spent over 10 years with Morgan Stanley holding various senior roles including as its China COO.
