Donald Soo has over 30 years of experience as a financial professional having worked in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. He built up extensive knowledge and expertise in banking, wealth management, portfolio management, fund manager, finance, Private Equity, ESG and ASEAN financial regulations. Donald held management positions at Professional Investment Advisory Services Pte Ltd (PIAS) in Singapore, National Australia Bank and Bank of New Zealand Australia. While at PIAS, Donald was responsible and directly involved in the investment training of the company’s advisers where the company grew its funds under advice (FUA) grew from SG$0 to over SG$1.2B by 2008.<br/>Donald is an experienced technologist and a founder of a current Fintech startup with a focus on an AdviceTech solution. He is a problem solver that can think outside the box using technologies. In the past, Donald has helped AVIVA Navigator (Singapore), and Navigator Investment Platform (Australia) concept develop the Aviva N-Link Financial Planning and Investment Portfolio management software in 2002 that is still used in Australia today under MLC. Also, he developed and instigated the digital mortgage automation process for Bank of Zealand Australia (1995-1997). During his career, Donald has been a sought after speaker and presenter. He has spoken and participated at Adviser (Australia) conference, Hubbis conferences, ETF Asia 2013, Indexing and ETF Asia 2013, Funds Management Conference Malaysia 2013 and the 2016 10th Annual Clearing, Settlement and Custody Asia Conference Singapore. Donald has also written articles on financial matters and had appeared on Channel News Asia’s Money Mind program in Singapore.
