Hiew Chok Sien is a trainer specialising in organisation leadership and people management. He is a true practitioner who has served at multinational companies and young start-ups across different company cultures. Corporations he has served in include Accenture, Shell, Standard Chartered Bank and SEGA. He has worked in diverse industries, from financial services and oil & gas to consulting, mobile games and e-commerce. Roles he has served in include Chief Operations Officer, Country Manager and Operations Director. Divisions and teams he led consistently scored high in Employee Satisfaction Surveys and 360 Degree Reviews, reflecting motivated employees and excellent coaching of leaders and managers.
Chok Sien started his career in Information Technology, being an honours graduate in Computer Science from Monash University, Melbourne. Throughout his career, he has driven multiple nationwide and regional deployment projects, changing people, process and technology. These projects involve collaborating with diverse international teams and a complex network of stakeholders and vendors. His work has brought him to Taiwan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Pakistan, Korea, the USA and Spain.
One of Chok Sien’s proudest achievements was to help his division increase revenue by 90% over a period of 9 months, by instilling a culture of ownership, accountability and collaboration in his teams.
Chok Sien is the author of Every Employee an Entrepreneur, which posits that to create a high performance organisation in a fast-changing world, an entrepreneurial culture must be instilled in its people.
