Vivek is a leading Sales and Client Experience industry expert based in Hong Kong. In his last role, Vivek was Managing Director and Regional Head of Sales, Asia Pacific at HSBC for its Global Payments & Cash Management business where he was responsible for establishment of the strategic direction and delivery of its Sales proposition to their Commercial banking clients in Asia and globally. He was also the Asia Pacific lead for their ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ agenda.
Vivek has 25 years of leadership experience in diverse industries including Banking, Consumer Products, IT and Engineering across functional areas ranging from Sales, Supply Chain, Strategic Planning and Customer Service. He is a large canvass player with proven experience of managing and driving change, leading large teams (400+) and business functions (Revenue of $3b) across domains.
Vivek possesses extensive international experience having been based in Hong Kong, India, and Thailand in leading regional roles with significant exposure to, and expertise in, Asia Pacific markets. Prior to joining HSBC, Vivek was the Regional Head of Customer Service and Supply Chain for Whirlpool Southeast Asia, based in Bangkok. Vivek has an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mumbai University.
