Stephen is a seasoned HR leader with well over three decades of C-level expertise and experience under his belt, leading human capital strategy, employee lifecycle programs, and especially in the area of leadership development, culture and staff engagement.
Currently, he leads the people agenda as Group Chief People Officer for the Boardroom Group, overseeing HR (on all aspects of the employee lifecycle including Learning & Development), across Boardroom’s geographies covering Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China and Australia.
Previous to BoardRoom, he was with KPMG Singapore for 31 years. He retired from the KPMG Singapore partnership in 2021 as an equity Partner after building the HR practice for three decades. He has been critical in the implementation of innovative people solutions, change management and business partnering programs to facilitate the organization’s strategic people agenda. He was the first human capital professional admitted as an equity Partner in 2005 at KPMG. Since then, he has been instrumental in raising the profile of KPMG’s people efforts to becoming one of the top employers in Singapore and placing KPMG on the map as a progressive and innovative employer.
