ACC: How would you describe youself?
DC: Sure! I am 46 years old and I have more than 30 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience in the high tech manufacturing, electrical & engineering, lithium battery technology and electric vehicle industry. In 2003, I established ETI Corporation Berhad (ETICB) to research and develop new Battery Management and energy storage systems, and supply Lithium polymer battery packs to Japanese companies. In 2006, ETICB was listed on the MESDAQ Market of Bursa Malaysia. ETICB obtained MSC status in R&D and manufacturing of Battery Management and energy storage systems. In 2008, ETICB’s market capital value hit RM600M and I was listed as one of the “Forbes Asia’s 4th and 5th Annual Best Under a Billion”. At the same year, I started Eclimo Sdn. Bhd to build electric vehicles. It is currently the only 100% Malaysian owned Electric Vehicle Manufacturers with registered patents in the battery storage. My goal is to promote green technology with the vision of zero-emission transportation.
ACC: What is your personal mission statement?
DC: My mission is to build environmentally friendly electric vehicles that is available to everyone at affordable price.
ACC: How do you deal with fear?
DC: Fear is result of the unknown and being out of control. In my business life I try to eliminate the unknown through review, research, and discussion.
ACC: What does your typical day look like?
DC: For my typical day, I would spend time to find out a way to improve the power and the performance of our Electric Two Wheelers , Eclimo Scooter and work on the growth strategy to develop new markets. Besides work, I enjoy jogging as a way to deal with stress, think and keep my health in check.
ACC: What is inspiring you right now?
DC: The financial services industry is always evolving and at the moment we could potentially be at a point of great change that will effect our lifestyle significantly. Look at China , cash is not trendy anymore. WeChat Pay is the new cash.
ACC: What keeps you motivated when you feel like calling it a day?
DC: I don't have many hobbies. Two simple things that motivate me, having a nice meal with my good friends. Tell you a secret, I could have five meals a day. In conclusion, Good Food motivates me, and talking to good friends help me relax.
ACC: Is there anything you could not have done and done differently?
DC: If I could go back in time, I would still invest my 5 million USD into Eclimo Sdn. Bhd. This is my dream and passion to build a environment-friendly commercial two vehicles and bring it to the world.
ACC: What would you tell your 21-year old self?
DC: Don't just look into successful people, instead look into what you are good at. Follow your dreams
ACC: What is your work-life integration formula?
DC: My work-life integration formula is to be aware and mindful of every moment for both career and family. Be mindful of what you are doing and focus on things that matters more to you.
ACC: What has been your proudest achievement to date?
DC: The proudest achievement is able to upgrade my life style and share the success of the company with my family and my colleagues.

Dennis has more than 30 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience in the high tech manufacturing, electrical & engineering, lithium battery technology and electric vehicle industry. Dennis enterprising past started when he was in secondary school in the 1980s where he scavenged at metal junkyards in search of discarded metal that he could use to construct his own version of a racing bicycle and subsequently selling it to friends.
Being in the fore front of litium battery technology, Dennis set up ETI Corporation Berhad ( ETICB ) in 2003 to focus on Battery Management and energy storage systems.
